Virgin Limited Edition has closed all properties across the collection until May 31 due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19.
Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco, Mahali Mzuri in Kenya, and Mont Rochelle and Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in South Africa are all closed.
“In my 40 years of hospitality, I can honestly say I have never experienced anything like this and I appreciate that there are uncertain times ahead for many,” said CEO of Virgin Limited Edition, Jon Brown.
“We stay optimistic that we will be able to reopen our doors on June 1, but we will only do this when it is safe to do so, and government advice allows.”
In South Africa, Virgin Limited Edition’s Pride 'n Purpose charity has already formed a COVID-19 support volunteer group that will educate those in disadvantaged, high-risk communities and provide essential medical and food supplies.
“To our guests who are due to travel with us over the coming weeks and months, we ask you to kindly bear with us as we work through our booking list,” said Brown. “Our reservations teams, or your travel company will be in contact with you directly to assist in rescheduling your stay.”
