Oman Air and SriLankan Airlines are set to fly to Zimbabwe, following an indication that an Air Service Agreement (ASA) will soon be signed with the two countries.

Zimbabwe’s Information, Media and Broadcasting Services Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa, says: “The agreement provides a governing framework for the operation of air transport services, thereby boosting travel and trade between Zimbabwe and the two countries. This is part of Government’s efforts to engage and re-engage with the international community, thereby fulfilling the mantra that ‘Zimbabwe is open for business’.”

Oman Air operates flights from Muscat to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Medina, and Kuwait, in the Gulf region, and Cairo, Amman, Tehran, Mashhad, Najaf, Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam in the wider Middle East, Africa region.

The carrier has codeshare agreements with a number of airline partners, including Ethiopian Airlines and Kenya Airways.
