New adventure activity in Western Cape’s Elgin Valley

Written by
The adventure team at Cape Canopy Tours has introduced Cape Segways, one of the latest adventure activities on offer in the Elgin Valley, Western Cape. It is less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town, and guests can explore the forests and back roads of the Oak Valley Estate in a unique and fun-filled way.

The tours utilise the latest off-road Segways, which are designed for off-the-beaten-track excursions. Safety is paramount, with all gear and equipment fully certified. The professional guides are well informed, and ensure that groups are kept small and intimate.

Guests arrive at the Elgin Railway Market, where they undergo a short briefing and training session. Once all guests are comfortable on the Segways, they depart on an off-road outride through Oak Valley on mountain bike trails, dirt tracks, through forests and orchards to explore all the estate has to offer.

Cape Segways tours are suitable for those over the age of 12, and do not require any previous experience. Tours run seven days a week and bookings are essential. The tour takes one hour, including the training, and is an ideal add-on for small tour groups visiting Elgin Valley.
