Madikwe’s Impodimo upgrades game-viewing areas

Written by
Impodimo Game Lodge, in Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North West province, has completed a facelift to its sala(thatched gazebo), and has built a new, luxury game-viewing hide.

The sala overlooks a smaller waterhole, and has been doubled in size, with canvas walls added for improved safety and privacy. The additional space allows for massage treatments and private dinners to be offered.

The new luxury Elephant Hide is built underground, and accessed by a tunnel whose walls are lined with photography and art. The air-conditioned hide offers a well-stocked refrigerator, coffee machine and tea station, bean bags to place camera equipment on, and lounging areas with a library of books.

Viewing windows have one-way glass, enhancing game-viewing and the hide is suitable for both daytime and night-time game viewing.

Impodimo is a product of An African Anthology.
