Kenya Airways’ revamped Karibu Premium Services now available

Kenya Airways’ revamped Karibu Premium Services came into effect on Monday, November 26, offering a seamless meet-and-greet service that makes using the airport easy, quick and stress free, with the fast-tracking of guests through airport touch points. 

Karibu Premium Services provides speedy clearance through arrivals and departures, helping guests with transfers, baggage and family travel at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, however, on request, ground services can be provided at other stations.

There are four service tier levels, Karibu Platinum, Karibu Gold, Karibu Bronze, and Karibu Group and Family.


Karibu Platinum is a premium service for business executives who want to spend a minimum time at the airport, and includes: 

  • Personalised meet and greet on board.
  • Personal ramp transfer vehicle during embarking and disembarking on an open bay. This service is on request and chargeable.
  • Limousine airport transfers on request and chargeable.
  • Helicopter airport transfers on request and chargeable (available from March 2019).
  • Pre-check in services that allow guests to drop off their luggage, with priority baggage handling.
  • Porter services.
  • Use of fast-track counters (arrivals and departures).
  • Personalised inter-terminal transfers.
  • Fast-track boarding.
  • In case of delays, guests will be informed prior to arriving at the airport.
  • Lounge access will be at an additional cost if the guest is not eligible.
Karibu Gold provides a meet-and-greet service on arrival or departure, followed by fast-tracking service through security, immigration and customs:

  • Guests are met by a Karibu team agent holding personalised name sign.
  • Personal ramp transfer vehicle during embarking and disembarking on an open bay, on request and chargeable.
  • Airport transfers available on request and chargeable.
  • Pre-check-in services that allow guests to drop off their luggage, with priority baggage handling.
  • Porter services on request and chargeable.
  • Use of fast-track counters (arrivals and departures).
  • Personalised inter-terminal transfers.
  • Fast-track boarding.
  • In case of delays, guests will be informed prior to arriving at the airport.
  • Lounge access will be at an additional cost if the guests are not eligible.
Karibu Bronze is tailored for guests requiring basic assistance in navigating through airport facilities:
  • Meet and assist on arrival, departure or during transit.
  • A Karibu team agent will be at hand to facilitate guests through airport touch points ensuring they connect on to their flight or clear the arrival processes.
  • Notification to the next of kin upon completion of facilitation.
Karibu Group and Family provides a meet-and-greet service that makes the airport experience pleasant for groups and families, ensuring a swift, smooth and safe passage through the airport within the shortest time possible:
  • Accelerated clearance through arrivals or departures.
  • Accelerated transfers and baggage for family and group travel.
  • Dedicated ramp transfer bus during embarking and disembarking on an open bay, on request and chargeable.
