Maldives will see its first hotel in the Curio Collection by Hilton, debut next year.
SAii Lagoon Maldives will be the first in a global portfolio of 60 hotels and resorts that will fall under the Curio Collection by Hilton, and will be managed by S Hotels & Resorts under a franchise agreement between Hilton and Singha Estate Public Company Limited.
The 198-room resort in Emboodhoo Lagoon will be a 15-minute boat trip from Velena International Airport. It will offer easy access to Crossroads – the first and largest integrated tourist destination in the Maldives. It is set to offer travellers “unique and unexpected experiences”, enhanced by creative art and design, artisanal cuisine and local hospitality.
The resort will feature tropical-inspired spacious deluxe rooms, beach villas and overwater villas. All rooms will have custom-made furnishings, outdoor decks, and playful inclusions such as handcrafted puzzles and ‘creature comfort’ pillows. Beyond the rooms, there will be comfortable social spaces, quality restaurants, and access to the globally renowned beach club brand, Café del Mar.
SAii Lagoon Maldives will also be home to The Hub – a social space where guests can select complimentary treats from the Snack Box. The Aroma Lab will also allow guests to create their own bathroom amenities.
Cuisine ranges from in-house dining options, to breakfast at Café del Mar, or meals-on-the-go at the casual resort café, bean/Co. There will also be themed eateries offering a combination of healthy foods, Mediterranean classics, fresh seafood and Thai-inspired dishes.
The hotel has easy access to The Marina @ Crossroads Maldives, via a footbridge. Crossroads offers a 30-berth marina, retail and dining outlets, Maldives Discovery Centre, a marine life protection centre, an event hall and a junior beach club.
