African Pride & Knighton Reeve in management buy out

Written by
Liz Hall and David Holland, the existing senior management team at African Pride & Knighton Reeve, have purchased African Pride and Knighton Reeve effective 01 December. Earlier this year the current owners since the business was founded in 1999, The Curzon Corporation Ltd, offered it for sale to Liz Hall, the long-standing general manager. She was delighted to work with sales manager David Holland in acquiring the business and have become joint directors in The Knavesmire Travel Group Ltd, the company used to make the purchase.

Hall said “African Pride has enjoyed great success since the business started and latterly, the luxury Knighton Reeve programme has added to this success. Curzon have been excellent and supportive owners and were keen to see continuity preserved with the sale. I spoke with David Holland and together we were delighted to take this rare opportunity to buy a successful and well known specialist business. We are extremely grateful for Curzon’s support and guidance over the years and the fair and honourable way by which they have proceeded with the sale.”

As the new owners, Hall & Holland have taken over all aspects of the two brands with all staff agreeing to remain. Says Holland “This was a key part of our strategy – the staff are essential to our success and we are delighted that they have come with us on this journey. Our agency relationships are also vital to our future and I look forward to working with them in the months ahead in developing our business further.”

At the same time, African Pride has launched its latest brochure with a new design and layout, with an excellent range of content and product. This is being distributed to agents now and will last for two years until late 2019.
